A New Chapter for Lusk N.S.

A New Chapter for Lusk N.S.

After a manic couple of weeks packing, we are finally in our beautiful new schools. Thanks to all our parents who volunteered their time to help us relocate. Thanks to your generosity, this mammoth task was completed in a very short space of time. It was great to see such wonderful community spirit.

On the 25th of June, the children arrived in their old school and said their final goodbyes. Each class from 6th to Junior Infants made their way down to their new classrooms. Both staff and students were very impressed with their new classrooms. Lusk N.S. will now be divided into two schools: Lusk J.N.S., St. MacCullins and Lusk S.N.S., St. MacCullins. We now have four basketball courts, a GAA Pitch and countless activity areas within both yards. The community hall will be used by both schools and will be completed by the end of this year.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who helped make this move possible, without the support of parents, staff and the children, we would not be sitting in these fantastic new schools. It’s a new chapter for Lusk N.S. and while we have many cherished memories from our old school, the future of our schools looks even brighter.

“What a day. After years working to build our new school we finally moved in on Monday. 880 pupils and 65 staff now have a fantastic new campus with two beautiful schools and an amazing hall. We aim to serve generations of Lusk children and be a hub for our community for years to come. Take a look at some of the footage from the move. Great excitement on a fantastic day “. Paul Comiskey
