Sport

In Lusk we have a rich sporting culture. We partake in many extracurricular activities. Currently the school boasts Gaelic football teams, a soccer team, basketball teams, and a hurling team. We also enjoy rugby, badminton, athletics, swimming Irish and Hip-Hop dancing. We are so lucky to have so many teachers offering their time as well as benefitting from the expertise of Shane Treanor, GPO, Round Towers GAA Lusk and Michael Woods, GPO, Skerries Rugby club. With so many talented young athletes the future of Lusk certainly looks bright!

3rd and 4th class FAI Soccer Tournament

On the 27th February 2013 I went to the huge Gormanstown College to play soccer for my school.  It was great fun.  We won every match we played.  The team was Abigail, (me), Rachel, Hannagh, Zoey, Fiona, Jade, Niamh and our star player and team captain, Katie.  I would like to thank Ms. Hurley for coaching us on the day.

Mr. O Donnell and Mr. Hickey with the school’s Senior GAA team.

A huge thank you to the Lusk Round Towers GAA Club who presented the school with a brand new GAA kit for the coming year.

The team had a great victory over St. Declan’s N.S. Ashbourne. Well done everyone!
