World Down Syndrome Day

Last week, we had a very special assembly. We celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. The boys and girls sang ‘A thousand Years’ beautifully while using Lámh sign language. It was a very special performance. Well done to all the children who performed. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!! To their surprise, it was also dedicated to our wonderful SNA’s who work tirelessly and always show kindness towards all the students and staff in our school. Maeve, Donna, Janet, Anne,  Hristina, Aoife, Geraldine, Sharon, Margaret and Emma were all presented with flowers and a book where students had written countless kind words about each of our hard working SNA’s. We were also treated to a fabulous rendition of “We’re Better Together” by all the students.

Thank you to all the teachers and students who helped to make the event so incredibly special. Thank you to Ms. MacNamee, Ms. Reilly, Ms. Quinn and all the teachers who helped prepare the children for this special event
