Transfer of 2nd class in Lusk Junior NS to 3rd class in Lusk Senior NS

Transfer of 2nd class in Lusk Junior NS to 3rd class in Lusk Senior NS

Further to queries received from parents of children transferring from the Junior School to the Senior School in September I wish to confirm that class allocation will take place based on best educational practice as evidenced in senior and junior schools across the country.

The transfer is an opportunity to redraw the classes and ensure that each class will be evenly balanced in term’s of the children’s educational, social and emotional needs, the even distribution of special educational teaching and the sharing of SNA resources to ensure the best education for all over the coming four years.  It is also a great opportunity for the children to make new friends while still having the chance to meet old friends every day in the yard.

I of course acknowledge that parental concern about this change is understandable and will be happy to allay parental concerns at the parent information night for 2nd class children which we will host in the last week in May.
