St MacCullins S.N.S. Unveil ‘The Journey’

St MacCullins S.N.S. Unveil ‘The Journey’

Lusk S.N.S. unveiled a beautiful piece of stained glass commissioned as part of the Per Cent for Art programme.

Aisling Prior guided the school and the artist through the programme to create and position this beautiful piece of art work in our school. Michelle O’Donnell was the artist who created this work inspired by the children’s and teachers ideas. The finished piece is called ‘The Journey’ and consists of stained and enamelled glass. It depicts nine figures differing in size, texture, dimension and height which are inspired by the costumes worn by pupils during multi-cultural assembly which takes place each year. It’s also inspired by families who have attended this school since it first opened its doors. Children and parents of Lusk S.N.S. turned out for the unveiling of this piece of art. It is now on display in the foyer of the new Lusk S.N.S. We would like to thank everybody who was involved in this project.
