Ms. Ní Dhúill’s class have been very busy this year with the wormery. During Autumn they collected bags and bags of fallen leaves to fill our leaf cages. Lots of these leaves were used to make a snuggly new home for the worms. First we took out all of the lovely worm compost that they had made for us and then we made them a lovely new home of leaves and shredded paper. This will keep the worms happy and cosy while they are busy making more compost for our school. The class are looking forward to planting some spring bulbs with the compost that they made themselves from food scraps collected in class.
